Brisbane North Institute of TAFE?s English Language Centre is highly regarded as provider of English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS). Our qualified and experienced teachers assist students to learn and improve their English in a warm and friendly environment.

With five levels of General English courses, our international students learn elementary through to advanced level English using an integrated approach to learning.

    YASUO MATSUMOTO    		 Since begining the TESOL course I have found my reading and writing has improved. I have met new friends who also want to teach English and we are able to help each other out with our work. When I finish my studies I want to return home to Japan to teach adults English.

    I would highly recommend the course to anyone who aspires to teach English.


    HITOMI KUBOTA    		 I came to Brisbane 1 month ago, and I study English at BNIT. I have worked for a construction company as an interpreter in Japan. I realised that I had to improve my English skills to strengthen my career. Then I chose to study English at BNIT.

    First, I stay with my host family. They are very caring, helpful and friendly. The host father often tells me about Australian histories, cultures and original British English.


    ANNETTE MATTSON    		 A friend from Sweden told Annette about studying the Certificate IV in Interior Decoration at Brisbane North Institute of TAFE so she trekked half way around the world to commence study in Brisbane. Now having completed her course she's more than happy with it. "It's very hands-on.
