Most of our International students study at the Townsville City campus located in the heart of North Queensland's capital. It is set in prize winning tropical palm and lawn gardens and is ideally positioned close to the city centre and has a long history as a place of education and training in Townsville. Popular programs include Nursing, Business, IT, Aged Care and Children’s Services, as well as a wide range of Hospitality and Trade programs.

This is my third year of study here at the Barrier Reef Institute of TAFE and it has been great!
My English has improved and the teachers and tutors have all been very helpful. I am hoping to continue at Diploma level next year.

After I had finished my Science degree at University in Colombia and couldn’t find a job, I realised I didn’t have the necessary dad to day practical skills of the workplace. I decided to move to Australia and study a Diploma in Conservation and Land Management at the Barrier Reef Institute of TAFE.
