Australasian College of Natural Therapies was established in 1982 to meet the growing public demand in all aspects of natural medicine.

ACNT has now grown to become the premier college of natural medicine in Australia training over 2,000 students per year from all over the world.

ACNT has many courses that are approved by the Australian Government for the acceptance of international students. ACNT is host to hundreds of international students, from countries as diverse as Canada, the USA, the UK, Thailand, Indonesia, New Zealand, Sweden, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Germany, Italy, Brazil, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Singapore.

Leading the way with natural therapies in Australia, the College was a founding member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS). Freida Bielik, ACNT College Principal, is Vice President of this accreditation body.

In addition, many courses are accredited by the New South Wales Government's Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board (VETAB) as well as accredited by the Federal Government for the acceptance of overseas students

ACNT has two world-class facilities in Sydney:

The 'Main Campus' at 57 Foveaux Street, Surry Hills - this is an eight-storey building right near Central Station with a whole host of facilities including large lecture rooms with audiovisual facilities, a library featuring one of Australia's most comprehensive collections of texts on natural medicine, two common areas, natural beauty training centre, computer room with internet access, copying facilities and much more;

The 'Natural Health Care Centre' at 20 Glebe Point Road, Glebe. The centre is situated in a fully refurbished federation building, beautifully decorated yet featuring all the latest treatment facilities. Some students finish their courses here by practising on real patients, whilst providing a great service to the inner-city community. Here you can have treatments in anything from massage to reflexology or a complete Naturopathic consultation.

English language training add-on courses
ACNT has teamed up with some of Australia’s foremost authorities in English language training. Students whose first language is not English can complete English language training prior to entry into their chosen ACNT course. The entire enrolment process can be completed through ACNT.

ACNT can assist students to choose the English language programme that is best suited to their existing language skills, and can help to organise a smooth entry into an ACNT course.

School age dependants
Australia prides itself on having one of the highest quality education systems in the world. International students who intend to come to Australia with school age dependents are required to pay the full fees for school age dependents for their schooling at either a government or non government school.

Clinics
Students who are enrolled in any of the professional courses are required to complete a number of clinical hours at ACNT’s Student Clinic
