Two major campuses. The largest is Callaghan, 12km from the centre of Newcastle. The other is at Ourimbah on the Central Coast, halfway between Newcastle and Sydney. Operate the largest single site accommodation complex of any university in Australia. There are close to 1,000 students living on the Callaghan campus in three traditional halls of residence and one new motel style complex.
Fantastic sporting facilities at our Callaghan Campus. The Forum Sports and Aquatic Centre houses a state of the art 50m indoor heated pool, an 18m climbing wall (one of the highest in Australia), a fully equipped gymnasium, two martial arts/aerobics studios and two competition indoor courts for sports such as basketball and volleyball.

Accommodation
The University offers both on-campus and off-campus accommodation.

When considering accommodation options you should note that not all programs are delivered on the university’s main Callaghan campus. If you are considering on-campus accommodation you should make sure of the location of your program before applying. Students studying in the Newcastle Graduate School of Business, the Centre for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics or Music at the Conservatorium should not apply for on-campus accommodation. These programs are delivered in the Central Business District which is 13km from the Callaghan campus.
The cost of accommodation ranges from AUD105 – AUD231 per week, depending on the type of accommodation required. All residences also require a Registration and Enrolment Fee of AUD250 plus a refundable damages deposit of AUD400.
