Australian Skills Shortage

Australia is currently experiencing a shortage of skilled workers in various occupations and the Australian General Skilled Migration Program wants to attract people from abroad to work in these jobs.

TAFE NSW Institutes offer high-level practical skills training in many of these occupations which can lead to excellent employment and career opportunities after graduation. Completion of TAFE NSW qualifications in these fields may allow students to be eligible to apply for permanent residency under the Skilled Migration Program.

Certificate to Advanced Diploma and Diploma-to-Degree Courses

Diploma-to-Degree (D2D) programs with the University of Western Sydney, Macquarie University, University of Technology Sydney, Australian College of Applied Psychology, and La Trobe (ACN Sydney campus) give you credit transfer for your university studies. English Language Courses

Students who apply for an English language and TAFE vocational course package obtain one student visa and save money on the English language tuition fees. Our 7 English Language Centres are owned and operated by the Government and guarantee high-quality tuition and expert teachers. You learn in small classes with access to self-study areas, library and language laboratories.
