The Government-owned TAFE system is the largest provider of post secondary education in Australia. It offers a range of vocational, technical and academic courses including English language and pre-university studies. TAFE institutes give practical emphasis to the courses they conduct.
Chisholm specialises in:
• 'Hands on ' vocationally focused Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses
• Pathways to degree programs
• Excellent English language programs
• Highly specialised equipment duplicating and often exceeding industry standards
• Onsite training facilities that include training kitchens, restaurants, beauty therapy and hairdressing salons
• Programs focused on preparing students for a global workforce including in many courses work placement and industry experience<

Diploma courses provide training leading to a specific field of work. Diploma courses combine the acquisition of skills and academic knowledge in programs leading to qualifications for some professionals.

ELICOS: The Chisholm International English Language Centre offers English language courses for further vocational and academic study, business and professional purposes, international communication and personal development.

Advanced Diploma and Diploma courses
Graduates of Diploma courses can gain advanced standing in a Bachelor Degree course at university. Diploma courses generally require two years (four semesters).

The three Schools of Business and Management, Manufacturing and Engineering and Social Sciences have committed teachers and excellent programs that attract students from over twenty different countries.

The Institute has a strong focus on internationalisation and take pride in the support network that has been developed to give students the opportunity to excel in their chosen field of study. By taking part in the extensive recreation program a student's educational experience will also extend outside the classroom - a great oppirtunity to interact with Australian students.
